Operator is a new concierge “request network” app from Uber co-founder Garrett Camp and Robin Chan that connects users with human operators to help them make shopping choices and find the right products to buy. Users send a request for an item like a large stuffed lion for a child’s bedroom, a houseplant, or pair of sunglasses, and they are then connected to an operator with expertise or connection to a specific category or brand that will help them find what they’re looking for.
The app is currently in beta, and interested users can sign up to request an invite on the Operator site.
