Olek Yarn Bombs Homeless Shelter New Delhi

To help raise the profile of a homeless shelter in New Delhi, artist Olek (previously) and a team of local volunteers recently covered the structure entirely in crocheted yarn. According to Olek, the colorful patterns of the installation are inspired by Indian textile motifs. The installation was in place on the Raine Basera shelter from late February to mid March as part of St+ART Delhi 2015, an urban art festival in New Delhi which runs through the end of March. Olek discusses the installation in this interview with Brooklyn Street Art.
