Lanyrd’s Schedule Planning Tool for SXSW Interactive 2012

Lanyrd is a conference directory website that helps connect you to other conference goers by using the Twitter API. Lanyrd “compiles blog posts, photos and other coverage from events and keeps it organized by session and speaker.” They have created an unofficial schedule tool for SXSW Interactive 2012 so that attendees can easily coordinate with Twitter contacts and create their own personalized conference schedule. They have also made iPhone and mobile web apps available. If you are not attending SXSWi and want to filter out the Twitter noise about the events and parties, they have created a Not at SXSW browser extension. Lanyrd was created in 2010 by Simon Willison and Natalie Downe.

You can search the entire Interactive schedule, browse by topic or venue and find out what your friends are planning.

Once you’ve created your schedule, you can synchronise it to your calendar using our iCal feeds, or subscribe to daily emails during the event which will remind you of the sessions you planned to attend.

Our attendee directory can help you see which of your Twitter contacts will be at SXSW this year – or you can search through everyone we know is going and figure out who you would like to meet.
