Nanotechnology company StoreDot recently demonstrated a prototype charging unit and battery pack for a Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone at Microsoft’s Think Next conference in Tel Aviv, Israel.
In the short video demonstration, the smartphone goes from 27% to 100% charged in 30 seconds. This is thanks to the way the special battery pack, which uses StoreDot’s “Nanodot” bio-nanomaterials, operates with the charging unit. Mass production of these kind of units is expected to happen in 2016.
