On Sunday high-wire artist Nik Wallenda walked across a cable suspended above the quarter-mile-wide Little Colorado River Gorge near the Grand Canyon in Arizona, a hair-raising feat that took him some 1,500 feet above the river. He completed the televised stunt in 22 minutes, with no safety equipment save a balancing pole.
