Guelph Park in Vancouver, Canada has another unofficial name, “Dude Chilling Park,” thanks to a replica park sign that will soon be installed in the park. The curious sign was originally a guerrilla art piece installed in Guelph Park by artist Viktor Briestensky in 2012. The installation—named after a nearby sculpture of a reclining figure–was dismantled by park staff shortly after it was put in place. However a grassroots movement petitioned the Vancouver Park Board to permanently reinstall the sign and that petition was recently approved by the board.
