While on a recent trip, I had the pleasure of meeting self-taught illustrator and designer Michelle Romo of Crowded Teeth, the current artist-in-residence at Downtown Disney’s WonderGround Gallery. Her Kawaii art has a colorful retro-modern look that is inspired by mid-century and Japanese designs. She sells prints, bags, books, and lots more great stuff of her work through her brand, Crowded Teeth.

Liz Ohanesian of Meltdown Comics recently featured Michelle in an article titled Crowded Teeth: How Michelle Romo Learned Her Art and Turned It Into a Business. It discusses her influences and how she turned her art in to a successful business.
