The First Amendment defenders at The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund (previously) have begun offering fundraising merchandise emblazoned with the now-defunct Comics Code Authority seal that has graced many a comics cover since the 1950s. The code, which was created as a response to parental concerns surrounding content, officially went defunct in January 2011.
