Burning Man Artist David Best’s ‘Temple’ Sculpture Is Ceremonially Burned in Northern Ireland

Earlier in March we posted about the completion of Temple, a monumental wooden sculpture designed by artist David Best and constructed on a hilltop in Derry/Londonderry, Northern Ireland. On March 21, 2015, the final stage of the project took place–the 75-foot-tall sculpture was burned before thousands of onlookers. David Best is perhaps best known for the eight monumental temples he has built at Burning Man since 2000 (those temples are also burned shortly after completion). Temple was produced by Artichoke Trust.
