The five Denmark-based members of The Bottle Boys recently performed a cover of the song “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King,” from the 1994 animated Disney film The Lion King, using beer bottles as instruments.
Besides the fact that “Just Can’t Wait to Be King” is one of our favourite Disney songs, we chose it because we’ve received some requests from you to play a song from The Lion King AND because we found it to be extremely well-suited for a bottlification! :) It has a cool swingy feel to it with a great, almost walking bass line, which rendered percussion instruments unnecessary! One of the side effects of this was, that none of us had to use headracks with fewer bottles in them, so we could keep the nice and full harmonies of the original’s vocal arrangement!
