Bold Machines is a new workshop run by MakerBot CEO Bre Pettis and Stratasys — which recently acquired MakerBot — focused on helping advance 3D printing innovation. The workshop’s first project is Margo, an upcoming 3D-printed feature film.
Margo will be a feature film developed from compelling 3D-modeled characters–in the bottom up tradition of starting with collectibles and narratives rather than largescale, box-office driven production. We’ll then partner with a production company to transform the characters and storyline into a feature film. We have begun that process by publishing Margo as a downloadable character from the Margo feature film that you can 3D print.
