Bionic Arm Controlled by Thoughts

The prosthetic arm being demonstrated in this video is controlled entirely by the mind of the man wearing it. Developed by Todd Kuiken and a team of engineers at Northwestern University, the arm reads nerve impulses from the man’s stump and translates them into strikingly dexterous movement–in the video the man is able to catch a ball and use a hammer.
