A Suspended Flower Garden That Lifts Out of the Way When a Person Walks Through It

Floating Flower Garden Installation by teamLab

Floating Flower Garden is an interactive installation by Tokyo-based art studio teamLab that allows viewers to walk amidst what is essentially an upside-down garden. The immersive space is filled with 2,300 living flowers which hang from above. As a person walks through the garden, the flowers near them are lifted upwards, creating a constantly moving hemisphere of free space. Floating Flower Garden is on display at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation in Tokyo through May 10, 2015.
