A Bobblehead of Walter White From ‘Breaking Bad’ Launched Into Space to Promote the tvtag Mobile App

The team at i.TV launched a bobblehead of Walter White (a.k.a. “Heisenberg”) from the television series Breaking Bad into space using a large helium balloon to promote their tvtag mobile app — formerly known as GetGlue. They captured amazing aerial footage of Earth and the wobbling Mr. White doll by securing a camera inside of a padded red box that was attached to the balloon. On the return trip from space, Walter literally lost his head after falling 85,000 feet to crash in the desert.

Last month, we set our sights on the stars. After thousands of votes from Earth-folk like you, Breaking Bad’s Walter White was nominated to be tvtag’s first space ambassador. Over the course of his journey to space, Walt braved speeds of 95 mph (153km/h), temperatures as low as -65F (-54C), and a maximum altitude of 85,000 feet (25,908m). He soared to new heights, carrying along with him the hopes and dreams of TV watchers everywhere. Long live Heisenberg. Long live TV.
