Microsoft Is Abandoning Internet Explorer and Using a New Name for the Browser in Windows 10
Microsoft is abandoning Internet Explorer and using a new name for the browser in Windows 10. The current codename for the new browser is Project Spartan, but at Microsoft Convergence, the company’s annual event to look at its future, marketing chief Chris Capossela said, “We have to name the thing,” implying the name is not permanent.
Project Spartan is designed to work across all Windows 10 devices with multiple inputs like traditional keyboard and mouse, touchscreens, and other types of censors. It will feature the ability to annotate pages being viewed, and will work with Microsoft’s digital personal assistant Cortana.
