A Recipe for Adorable Hippo-Shaped Bread Rolls That Lazily Lounge in a Bowl of Soup
Sandra Denneler whipped up a recipe for adorable Healthy Hungry Hippo Soup. Using bread dough for the body, black-eyed peas for eyes, and a black bean for nostrils, she baked and decorated little bread hippopotamuses. Placed in a bowl of soup, they look just like wild hippos peeking over the surface of a river. Fortunately, these ungulates are friendly and won’t charge.
Handmade Charlotte has the full recipe on their site. More of Denneler’s recipes and ideas can be found at Project Denneler.
