More Large Scale Drawings in Snow by Sonja Hinrichsen

Snow Drawings at Catamount Lake, 2013

Back in 2012, we posted about the stunning large-scale outdoor snow drawings of artist Sonja Hinrichsen. Hinrichsen has since created two beautiful installations in Colorado: a sprawling 2013 drawing on the snowy surface of the frozen Catamount Lake, and this year, a recreation of the original course of the Yampa River. Both installations were made by teams of snowshoe-equipped volunteers (approximately 50 to 60 per project).
