‘Bruise’, A Jello Brick Wall Installation That Slowly Melts Over Time
“Bruise” is a three-week performance installation by artists Robert Seng and Lisa Hein that consists of a Jello brick wall made out of Jello bricks and gypsum. The installation took place at The Next Fifty festival in Seattle back in 2012. As the duo added layers to the wall, the lower layers would melt and decay, leaving nothing but a sticky framework of gypsum. Seng and Hein have created the installation more than once — there’s even a behind-the-scenes video from an earlier installation:
