Devil’s Breath Wing Challenge at Tweeters Chicken Crib in Dublin, Ohio
Our Tentacle Team (a mix of bloggers and Laughing Squid web hosting staff) recently met up Tweeters Chicken Crib (which ironically doesn’t have a Twitter account) in Dublin, Ohio for a late night snack. Tweeters offers many chicken wing sauce flavors including one called the “Devil’s Breath” which is described as a “taste of pure evil, a deadly blend of ghost peppers with a hint of sweet mango.” I soon learned that on previous visits members of the Tentacle Team had actually tried this (a very small amount) of this stuff. They did not, however, take the “Devil’s Breath Wing Challenge” which is a seemingly horrible feat where you voluntarily eat an entire chicken wing doused in the stuff to get your photo on the Devil’s Breath Wing Challenge Survivor’s wall.
While he declined the official “Devil’s Breath Wing Challenge,” our web hosting support specialist Scott Devaney did brave a couple toothpick-sized tastes of the Devil’s Breath sauce (shown below) and says he remembers it starting off “with a slight warmth” but then as it spread it, he says it was like his “mouth was on fire.” He furthers that water helped “very little” and “only for the few seconds” it was actually in his mouth.
Oh yes, we have a video of the whole thing:
Folks, just say no to this:
On the Devil’s Breath Wing Challenge wall, there’s some awesome polaroids of survivors taken shortly after their win:
