Warner Bros. has released a prequel short, titled 2036: Nexus Dawn, that connects events between the original 1982 Blade Runner film and the upcoming movie, Blade Runner 2049. The Luke Scott directed short, which features Niander Wallace (Jared Leto) introducing his new line of replicants, is one of three shorts created by a series of different directors. Blade Runner 2049 is set to blast its way into theaters on October 6th, 2017.
