Comic-Con 2005, the largest comic book/sci-fi/fantasy/anime/pop-culture event in the world (over 80,000 people attended last year), takes place this week, July 14-17, at the San Diego Convention Center. Laughing Squid will not be attending this year, however we will be well represented. We are sending down some post cards and stickers with Attaboy and Annie Owens who will be running the Yumfactory/Hi Fructose booth, which is located at the Tower Records booth #4729. Several of the artists featured in the recently launched Hi Fructose Magazine will be doing signings at the booth, including: Gary Baseman, Seen, Dr. Cube (Kaiju Big Battel), The Rubberboy, Attaboy, Gary Taxali, Alex Pardee, Brian McCarty, Junko Mizuno, Gobler Toys and Dave Cooper.
Other friends of Laughing Squid that will be there this year are: Last Gasp (booth #1614), STRANGEco (booth #4537), Joshua Ellingson (table O10), Devon Devereaux (table O2), Keith Knight (table M15), Jesse Reklaw (booth #1620) and Steve Leialoha (table I6).
