This Is My Home, Charming Film of Man’s Unique New York City Home

This Is My Home tells the story of Anthony Pisano, a delightful New York City man with an amazing collection of vintage and antique curiosities that people often mistake for an antiques shop. His home is an East Village storefront and while nothing is for sale, he often gives away items. Filmmaking couple Kelsey Holtaway and Mark Cersosimo of Departure | Arrival Films created the charming documentary short to tell his story. Bonus clips are available to view at their site.

On an unseasonably warm November night in Manhattan on our way to get ice cream, we stumbled upon what appeared to be a vintage shop, brightly lit display window and all. As we began to walk in, a man sitting out front warned us that we were welcome to explore, but nothing inside was for sale. Our interests piqued, we began to browse through the collections the man out front had built throughout his life. This is a story of a man and his home.

UPDATE: I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Pisano in person in May 2012.
