The Boring Store

The Boring Store is a new secret spy shop in the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago. The store is actually a front for 826CHI, a non-profit writing center for students 6-18 and is part of the 826 National writing centers founded by Dave Eggers, including San Francisco’s Pirate Store/826 Valencia. Check out Brad Flora’s excellent write-up and photos of The Boring Store in The Methods Reporter.

Back in August I wrote about Brooklyn Superhero Supply Co. which is another faux storefront for a 826 writing center. Seattle has one as well, the Greenwood Space Travel Supply Co.

Does this store have anything whatsoever to do with holes or the notion of holes or any sort of entendre to do with holes? Help settle a bet.
