The Boombox Project, A Photobook of Vintage Boomboxes

The Boombox Project: The Machines, the Music, and the Urban Underground is a photo book by photographer Lyle Owerko featuring fine art photographs of vintage boomboxes. The book also includes thoughts on the importance of the boombox in the hip-hop movement, as told by early hip-hop pioneers. Filmmaker Paul Stone created a video about the project.
