Skateboarding Video Shot at 120 FPS on a Red One Camera

by Scott Beale on August 26, 2008 · 11 comments

Magnum Opus Productions out of Van Nuys, CA made a really cool skateboarding video shot at 120 fps on a Red One Camera, a new high-resolution digital video camera that features high quality and performance at lower cost than traditional professional cameras. The music used in the video is “It’s Alright” by Bang Gang.

I just saw some folks shooting skate videos by the Ferry Building the other day and thought to myself that those are so passe now. Besides, what else could you do with them?

But this is incredible and beautiful! I can't wait to see more and also can't wait to see what else people do with the Red One.

Sigh, as with many videos on Laughing Squid, it refuses to play. :( Anyone else with FireFox 3 have this problem? As far as I know I'm up to date with plug ins.

Really getting frustrated with this as the videos are ones i really want to see. :)

The video is hosted on Vimeo, not Laughing Squid and works just fine on Firefox 3 (that's the main browser I use). If you have having this problem frequently, then it sounds like there is an issue on your end somewhere.

the sanyo xacti hd1010 can shoot at 300fps and you can get a bunch of them for what you'd pay for the red one. just saying.
