Sutro Moon

As a card-carrying member of the Sutro Tower Fan Club, I enjoyed the view this morning as the full moon aligned perfectly with the tower from my vantage point on Bernal Hill.

Naturally, Sutro Tower has it’s own Flickr group as well, for other fanboys and fangals who want to oogle San Francisco’s own version of the Cloud City of Bespin.

Someday, if they every stop using Sutro as a (RF radiation-emitting) TV broadcast tower, I hope somone will build an observation deck on one of the upper levels, so that it becomes our own version of the Space Needle or CN Tower. I mean, just imagine being able to look out over this:
