Octobot, A Cephalopod-Inspired Robot That Propels Itself With Eight Arms

The Octobot is an aquatic robot created by the Institute of Computer Science in Greece that takes inspiration from the Octopus vulgaris (common octopus), using eight arms to help quickly propel itself through the water. A squishy membrane connecting the robo-tentacles helps it swim through the water at speeds of up to seven inches a second.
