‘Mouse Guard: Swords & Strongholds’, A Two-Player Board Game From the ‘Mouse Guard’ Comics

Mouse Guard: Swords & Strongholds is a two-player board game by Mouse Guard creator David Petersen and Luke Crane. The game is played using a wooden board with a grid, a set of four mouse pawns for each player, and a deck of cards featuring sword, stronghold, and diplomacy cards. More on the game is available on Petersen’s blog. They are currently raising funds for a small production run via a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign.

We developed a light strategy game for two players that takes 10 to 20 minutes time per game. It’s exactly the sweet spot we hoped for—a game you can play while you’re sitting at the June Alley Inn listening to tales, or when you’re waiting for your friends to arrive for a game night, or when you’re waiting in long lines at comicons!
