Mountain Dew Game Fuel Halo 3 Promotion

Mountain Dew Game Fuel

Way back when I used to drink a lot of Mountain Dew, too much in fact, while playing D&D, video games or messing around with computers. Over the years Mountain Dew, which was originally promoted as “zero proof moonshine” complete with hillbilly mascot, figured out that gamers and geeks were a big part of the demographic for their super caffeinated, sugary soda and they eventually started to market it that way. In 2001 they released Code Red, one of earlier new flavors targeted at this audience, which ended up having a computer virus named in its honor.

Recently I came across Mountain Dew Game Fuel, a limited edition (12 weeks only), citrus-cherry flavored variant with 120 milligrams of caffeine that is a promotion for the upcoming release of Halo 3.

Some people like their whiskey.
Some people like their gin.
But a pretty girl and Mountain Dew.
Really gets under my skin.

Because I live in a Mountain Dew world.
My body runs on Mountain Dew pearls.
My mind floats in a Mountain Dew haze.
I look at the world.
Through a Mountain Dew gaze.

A pretty girl and Mountain Dew.
Really gets under my skin.
A pretty girl and Mountain Dew.
Really gets under my skin.
