New York City-based artist Nina Boesch creates wonderful collages out of cut up MetroCards, the tickets used in New York metropolitan area transit systems. The collages mainly depict quintessential New York City people, places, and things. Her color collages are limited to the yellow, orange, and blue found on the front side of the MetroCard. Black and white collages are made using the back of the card. Boesch has been making the collages for more than 10 years.
