Maker Faire Austin 2007

Maker Faire Austin 2007, a DIY technology, arts, crafts and science event produced by Make Magazine and Craft Magazine, takes place this weekend, Saturday, October 21st and Sunday, 22nd at the Travis County Expo Center. I’ll be posting photos of the event here, starting with Friday’s Maker Preview event.

Here’s my full gallery of Maker Faire Austin 2007 photos.

I’ve been running into a bunch of friends from San Francisco who are here with their projects, including Mark Perez the Life Size Mouse Trap, Cyclecide, Because We Can who are working with Philo Northrup on his Art Golf project and Harrod Blank who showed up with his Camera Van, which I haven’t seen in years (Camera Van photos).

Daniel Terdiman is an embedded blogger at Maker Faire Austin and he has been covering the event for CNET on his blog Geek Gestalt.

Here are more photos of Maker Faire Austin 2007 from Jillian Northrup, Natalie Zee Drieu & Margaret.

Rocket Boom was there as well, shooting video of the event.

I’m an Austinite who almost sprung for the trip to S.F. a few months ago. Little did I know Maker Faire would be coming to my neighborhood (almost literally, I’m only 10 minutes away). What a blast! I’m so glad you’re coming back, too. Thanks!
