Koots Green Tea

I met Dave Winer for dinner tonight in Bellevue and while we were waiting for our table, we stopped by Koots Green Tea at Lincoln Square. They make an amazing variety of green tea drinks, hot, cold and frozen. I think I’m addicted to their Matcha Latte, I’m on my second one tonight. Oh and their lavender cake is amazing.

Koots Green Tea is based out of Japan, where they have 10 locations and thier Bellevue store is the only one in the United States. A 2nd US location is opening in Seattle soon. The layout and decor of their Bellevue flagship location is relaxing and beautiful. If you get your drink for there, they serve it in a lovely ceramic mug. Normally I’m all about the coffee in Seattle, but right now, I just can’t get enough of green tea drinks.

Here are some photos I shot of Koots Green Tea in Bellevue. I found some more photos from earlier this year which were taken by Seattle Bon Vivant.

Speaking of unique green tea cafes, When I was in Los Angeles earlier this week, Sean Bonner turned me on to teaforest in Culver City, which also serves great green tea drinks, along with espresso and coffee.
