Konbit Shelter Project, Sustainable Superadobe Buildings for Rural Haiti

The Konbit Shelter Project is an ongoing project to bring innovative superadobe homes and community spaces to rural Haiti. Superadobe buildings are easy to build with local materials and labor, and are resistant to earthquakes and other disasters. The project is being run by a team of architects, engineers and artists, including Brooklyn-based Swoon and is currently raising funds on Kickstarter.
