Cheetah-Cub Robot, A Small Quadruped Robot Designed After the Legs of a Cat

Swiss scientists at EPFL’s Biorobotics Laboratory have created the Cheetah-Cub Robot, a small quadruped robot designed after the feline anatomy. Each leg has three segments in the same proportion as a cat, springs are used in place of tendons, and actuators replace the muscles. The Cheetah-Cub Robot can run nearly seven times its body length in a single second, or 3.18 miles per hour.
