Birdhouse, A Notepad for Twitter (Draft, Publish & Unpublish)

by Scott Beale on April 13, 2009 · 3 comments

Adam Lisagor and Cameron Hunt have just released Birdhouse, an iPhone app that acts as a notepad for Twitter, where you can draft, publish and even unpublish Twitter posts.

Ever think of something for your Twitter that you don’t want to post right away? Birdhouse is the perfect place to put it.

Birdhouse won’t replace your favorite iPhone Twitter client, it’ll add to it. Put Birdhouse right next to your Twitter client and use them together.

It’s an awesome app with an equally awesome intro video.

What is the song in the background?

Backing song is “Popcorn” by Hot Butter. One of the first top 40 hits to use a synthesizer back in the 70’s. I think it has a wiki page.

I think it’s fair to say that it has a fairly thorough wiki page. What that page won’t get across is the sheer number of covers of that song. Popcorn-Song.com might do it justice, although their very long list is nothing close to exhaustive. “Popcorn” is in the running for most-covered song ever.
