San Francisco based artist Michael Gillette created a beautiful set of officially licensed James Bond book covers for the Ian Fleming Centenary that were published by Penguin Books. Michael’s book cover illustrations are now being sold as signed and numbered limited edition prints exclusively from Electric Works Gallery.
Originally released in 2008 to celebrate the centenary of Ian Fleming’s birth, Michael Gillette’s designs for the covers of Penguin’s Fleming Bond novels were an instant iconic classic. Much requested, they are now available as limited edition, signed and numbered prints in conjunction with Ian Fleming Publications Ltd. Printed to the highest standards by the Electric Works Gallery in San Francisco.
15 prints sold in 2 different sizes, 30 of each cover and size released per year.
Recently I turned the Goldfinger book cover in to a poster for a screening by The Flicker Club in London. The club raises funds for the Make a Difference Trust; established to support people facing hardship as a result of HIV and AIDS in Africa. Honor Blackman, Miss Pussy Galore herself, was the guest of errr.. honor. Somehow this lady is 84.
