A White-Tailed Eagle Wearing a Camera Records a Breathtaking 111-MPH Flight Over Paris

Victor, a trained white-tailed eagle, soars from the top of the Eiffel Tower to Paris below in a breathtaking bird’s-eye view video captured by a Sony Action Cam on the bird’s back. The bird ends his flight by diving at 111 miles per hour to the Trocadéro Gardens, where he lands neatly on a handler’s outstretched arm. The September 28th flight was arranged by FREEDOM, a non-profit that intends to bring the white-tailed eagle back to France, where it has been extinct for over 50 years. As part of their fundraising efforts, the group is producing a fictional film about white-tailed eagles, entitled Freedom, an Eagle Takes Flight.
