A Look at the 20,000-Calorie Diet of a Professional Strongman

The latest episode of the Vice series FUEL takes a look at the eating habits of Robert “Obie” Oberst, a 400-pound professional strongman who consumes up to 20,000 calories a day to stay competitive.

I have six meals a day. If I don’t eat enough, my body gets shaky, I get headaches. My body is running at a point now where it’s used to having good fuel, so I cut that off and my body just revolts.

Obie has also shared his recipe for Strongman Pasta for those interested in bulking up.
