Apple Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard Preview
Today at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Francisco, Steve Jobs’ keynote speech previewed Leopard, the 10.5 version of their OS X operating system which will be coming out in Spring 2007. One of the new features announced was Spaces, which allows you to have up to 4 multiple desktops. This is a feature that has been around a while with Linux desktops and it’s great to see it finally make its way into OS X. Om Malik has a really great wrap-up on the Leopard preview.
Other annoucements at WWDC today indluded the new Mac Pro desktop and Xserve 1U rackmount server, both powered by the new dual-core Intel Xeon “Woodcrest†processor.
