This week the highly anticipated public beta (Beta 1 v0.7) of Flock, the social browser based on Firefox, was finally released. The very first public demo of Flock took place at the orginal BarCamp in Palo Alto last August, so it’s been a long time coming. Download Flock and see what you think.

Flock is a free, easy-to-use web browser built on fast and secure Mozilla technologies. Share photos, get your news, blog freely, and search your world with Flock. Flock makes it easier than ever for you to connect with your friends.

Here are more details on the Flock beta launch from TechCrunch.
