YouTube to Open New Space in New York City to Give Video Creators Resources, Tools, and Guidance

YouTube Space New York

In November 2014, YouTube will open the new YouTube Space New York to give video creators resources, tools, and guidance. YouTube users with more than 5,000 subscribers to their channel will have free access to equipment, workshops, and other events at the space. YouTube already has similar studios in Los Angeles, London, and Tokyo. A post on the official YouTube blog explains the space will focus on helping users Learn, Connect, and Create.

Learn: From training programs and workshops to master classes, there are plenty of opportunities to get hands-on experience from industry experts.
Connect: Attend events, collaborate with fellow creators, brainstorm ideas over a coffee, and share tips and tricks to get the most out of YouTube.
Create: This is your space to make your videos and there are resources to help you from start to finish, including areas for creative collaboration; loaner production equipment such as cameras, lights, boom microphones, and more; permanent and rotating sets; three enclosed sound stages; and state-of-the-art post-production facilities.
