In early March 2016, a young woman in Illinois named Misty Nicole Knight asked her stepfather Ryan Farrell, the man who had raised her, to officially adopt her through a series of surprises. That night, Knight handed a present to Farrell out of the blue, that included a note making reference to their shared experiences and love for Star Wars, Superman and cats in leggings, a Batman vs. Superman onesie, a random book and at the very bottom of the package, a petition for adoption. Needless to say, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
So everyone has been waiting for this but I finally asked the man that raised me to adopt me ? love you with all my heart and can’t wait to be a FARRELL
