Yamaha Product Designers Swap Roles to Bring Clever New Ideas to Different Categories

AH A MAY] (that’s “Yamaha” backwards) is a joint project between the Yamaha Corporation and Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. that asks designers from each side of the aisle to swap categories, designing products “without any constraints related to production or commercialization”.

The result was a number of clever takes on existing product lines including a rechargeable battery powered by a stationary bike, a motorcycle designed to engage the rider with the passing scenery, a two-person circular marimba, and a jungle gym-like drum set.
