Portland-based artist Dylan Kehde Roelofs creates incredible “incandescent sculptures,” hand-blown light bulbs and lamps that take the standard bulb to a fantastic extreme. The artist’s descriptions of his work are also wonderfully bizarre:

Vitralucis Tesla. Named for the great Nikolai T, this species is one of the last to be seen (after the various Bulb Plagues of Egypt, Rome and The ‘Enlightenment’, very few Vitraluci survived in the wild.) The cord has spurred many to suspect that perhaps flux from swimming through the Luminiferous Ether, or Telluric currents as the true food source for these creatures.
