Sascha Ciezata created an animated short featuring Werner Herzog telling the story of when he rescued Joaquin Phoenix from certain death.
Here’s the original video that was posted by First Look Studios that was used for the audio in the animation. It turns out that Werner originally told the story in response to a question from David Lynch.
