Walt Disney Introduces His Plans for the 1964 New York World’s Fair in a Promotional Video

In an original promotion for the 1964 New York World’s Fair, an eager Walt Disney introduces such concepts as the Carousel Theater and audio animatronic figures, all a part of an expanded Tomorrowland as he and Plus Ultra envisioned it.

Beginning in 1952, the last generation of Plus Ultra leadership used this strategy to prepare the world for its greatest project: A city of the future, a monument to mankind’s potential and a living, evolving laboratory for even better wonders. The job of introducing the idea of Tomorrowland to the world over a period of decades was given to Walt Disney. After years of teases through television shows and theme park attractions, Walt launched his campaign in earnest at the 1964 World’s Fair in New York.
