‘Unconditional Rebel’, A Slow-Motion Music Video Featuring a Complex Scene Recorded at 1,000 Frames Per Second

In the remarkable slow-motion music video for “Unconditional Rebel” by siska, a complex tableau featuring 80 actors unfolds in exquisite slow motion over the course of three minutes and 24 seconds–the actual shot, however, was only five seconds long. To achieve the effect, a Phantom Flex4K high-speed camera–recording at 1,000 frames per second–was driven along the film set at 31 miles per hour. The video was written and directed by Guillaume Panariello with visual effects by La Planete Rouge.
