uChek, An App to Analyze Your Urine

rightsidebar

Myshkin Ingawale has created uChek, an app designed to analyze your pee. The app works by taking photos of a urinalysis strip, and comparing them to a color-coded key. uChek can detect the levels of glucose, proteins, ketones, and other chemicals in your urine, and monitor diabetes, urinary tract infections, kidney problems, and numerous other diseases. If you’re not intimately familiar with what glucose or urobilinogen levels mean, you can click on the tab within the app to learn more. uChek is in the midst of Apple’s app approval process, and though an Android version is in development, it likely won’t be ready for some time. According to Wired, the app will cost just 99 cents, and the strips will sell for $20 per pack.
