Two Artists Create Pendant Depicting A Squid Attacking the Nautilus From ‘20,000 Leagues Under the Sea’

Squid Attacks Nautilus

Artist Marty Magic and her husband Art joined forces to create an incredibly detailed pendant depicting the scene from Jules Vernes‘ classic story, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea in which a giant squid attacks the Nautilus.

My husband, Art (aka artbobo) rendered the Nautilus using a 3-D Rhino Cad program. His 3-D image was “printed” and he subsequently handed me a miniature blue submarine wax. Using my old school skills of wax sculpting, I created the miniature squid and wrapped tiny squid tentacles around the length of the submarine.

The pendant comes in either silver or bronze and can be purchased on Marty’s site or via her Etsy store.
