‘Time Reversed in New York’, Footage of Busy Pedestrians Walking Backwards in Manhattan

Filmmaker Jeremy Meek created “Time Reversed in New York,” which used the reversed footage that he shot of pedestrians walking through Times Square, in the subway, and over the Brooklyn Bridge in order to capture the surreal nature of crowds moving backwards.

I recently traveled to some of the busiest sections of Manhattan and filmed them in reverse. There’s something bizarrely dreamlike about large groups of people moving in reverse and it makes some of New York’s more claustrophobic areas just a tiny bit magical.
